Description
Located 75 km (46 miles) away from Paris, in the Seine valley, the town of Vernon showcases Notre Dame Collegiate Church whose construction started at the end of the 11th century. Remodelled over the centuries, it combines different architectural styles: the choir and the transept are Romanesque, the rest of the building combines different Gothic styles: Rayonnant, Flamboyant and Late Gothic. Inside, have a look at the early 17th century pipe organ. Outside, admire the Flamboyant rose window as well as the 13th century tower.
