4 rue des Ruelles

27510 TILLY

One hour away from Paris and from Rouen and 6 km (3.7 miles) away from Vernon, Michel Galmel welcomes you to the Ruelles Farm in Tilly. He chose to work and grow apple trees in a different way while preserving the environment, traditions and heritage for future generations. A long-term project that started a few years ago with the replanting of tall apple trees, miles of hedges, strips of wildflower meadows, the digging of ponds to restore a complete food chain. After planting miscanthus (also known as elephant grass) for heating - one of the solutions to replace fossil fuel – he created two agroforestry plots covering 10 hectares (25 acres) and a forest garden. All this has contributed to the restoration of biodiversity on the cider and cereal farm and the results in terms of sustainable development are very positive. You will undoubtedly fall under the spell of this place with the splendid farm and the hedge-lined path that invites visitors to take a stroll. Don't resist the temptation to come in and enjoy a glass of cider or apple juice.
