Description
Spend some time in Normandy, in a B&B located in a historic manor house.
This stone and half-timbered Norman manor house dates back to 1620. It used to belong to a brotherhood located close to a Franciscan monastery founded by Louis IX of France, also known as Saint Louis, in 1260. Ariane and Alain, Art and History lovers (Ariane is a tourist guide) devote their free time to restoring it authentically using only traditional local materials. During your stay, take time to visit Vernon, a pretty river town with numerous half-timbered houses. Close from here, go and visit the village of Giverny, famous for Claude Monet's House and Garden. Admire the works of art exhibited at the Museum of Impressionisms. Enjoy a picnic with your family on the bank of the river Seine situated close by.
