“Les Andelys” is the reunification of two cities following the French Revolution.
Le Grand-Andely, of Gallo-Roman foundation, and Le Petit-Andely, from medieval times, are two very different and complementary historical town centres. During your visit, take the time to discover each of the two districts.

Departing from the Tourist Information Office, set off to discover Le Petit-Andely, from rue Grande to Hôpital Saint-Jacques, passing by the banks of the Seine and perhaps even Château-Gaillard. Charming and picturesque, this district gives pride of place to art galleries, small souvenir shops and restaurants.
Don’t forget to go along the Seine! The walk is relaxing and the view, of the fortress on one side and the limestone cliffs on the other, is truly magnificent.
